Artist's Comments

Installation file: [link]
Required Firefox Extension: GreaseMonkey

I don't know if I'm the only person with this problem, yet wouldn't be surprised. You ever notice those little shadows that deviantART sticks behind deviation thumbnails? Yeah, well, I don't like 'em. They jack up transparent gif files. In your settings you can turn off the shadows site-wide, I believe. But, for poor little ole me, the shadows are stuck on no matter how many times I check/uncheck the box and hit OK. That is the reason why this script exists. If you comment before you read this...

To install:
have Firefox
install GreaseMonkey extension
click on the following URL: [link]
click "Install" on the GreaseMonkey dialog box.

As suggested, I've also created a Stylish, um, style which can be downloaded here -> [link] I personally think Stylish isn't as good as Greasemonkey. It could use some upgrades. The Stylish Firefox extension can be found here.

I've never had that problem, but it's good to know there's a fix if I ever do.

Peeps were hatin on it, before I left my comment.

It's quite useful on stamps and emoticons indeed. But I just put the shadow-server on my adblock list - no real need for that script then.

Good job nonethtless

Uh.. you can remove Thumbnail Shadows in your Settings under Browing.

I don't squirm. I flail. Less restrictive, more expressive.

Now that I've fully read your comments (my eyes skipped it somehow a bad habit when I've been reading on a white screen for hours), please ignore what I said. lol

A useful script.

Rightfully so. Thank you. :)

This could be done with a user stylesheet too - the benefit of doing it with CSS is that it's applied instantly and doesn't have to wait for the page to load like GM scripts do. In other words you're using the wrong tool for the job ;p

I think I'll install it! Great job!
